Thumbs up Welcome to Mad Ramper Designs Performance

With the absence of Pickrel Performance, the exhaust systems for the Gen 1's are limited. With the blessing of Dave Pickrel, I am going to start building and selling Gen 1 exhaust systems. I am waiting on my suppliers right now, but expect to have complete systems ready to ship in 3-4 weeks.

Holy crap, good work Chip! And thanks to Dave for his blessing. I love my Pickrel exhaust. Is he sending you the schematics for them?

No. I have Justin's headers so I could see what needed to be modified. The routing of the exhaust really only has one way to go, so I guess that will at least be the same idea as what Dave made, but I am going to configure all of that on my own. I've got different cats than what Dave used and possibly different mufflers. I don't remember what Dave had in his kits.

Chip,

Sorry I didnt have a chance to answer your PM. I believe you did the right thing contacting Dave.

Of FWIW AMc is out of headers. I called to order 5 sets of 1 3/4" cermaic headers and was told there out of stock to call back in a week and they could tell when they would have some more.

The had a set or two of 1 5/8" HTS ones in stock. I dont think the size primary with only a 2 1/2" collecter is going to do anyone around me any good.

As soon as I get the exhaust worked out, I plan on some CAI designs. I would like to do PSD piping, but without being supercharged already, that would be a very big expense up front.... unless someone wants to send me a blower

No problem. I figured it was the right thing to do. I am still waiting to set up an account with MAC. For right now, I went through another distributor. I am paying more, but I should be able to get them for my first go round fairly quickly.

I am going to start off with a 1 3/4" ceramic and a 1 5/8" ceramic. I want the 1 5/8" for my truck anyway, so that will be the test system. I am going to put cats on it and a Dynamax Ultra Flo muffler.

I could probably make a stainless kit, but it would be hugely expensive. I am looking into having the option for ceramic or high temp powder coating the entire system. I will have pricing on that once I finish my kit and take it to the ceramic coater.

Or driveshaft loops, since no one is making those now.

Definitely traction bars... again, I'll be a test bed

The driveshaft loop I can probably handle. The traction bars won't be any time soon. I have enough to keep me busy for a while

Nice, post some pictures when you get a set done, I might be interested in a new exhaust. I want something louder then my kooks headers and flowmaster exhaust!

Good luck, hope it goes smooth

Howdy, I'm cacric over at WASHLO.

I was told about the exhaust comming around. I Had to jump over here and check it out. I am so glad Chip got the go ahead to build.

I am going to keep my eyes open over here if that's ok
