How is the durability of the front bumper? If I was to put it on a daily driven truck and someone were to lovetap it would the bumper hold up?
By any chance if you were to make me one would you be able to add a couple extra pounds of glass to help strenghten it?

That. plus does it come with a smooth look, like the belt molding is not there in the bumper?

All his glass bumpers are smoothies (no rub strip) as far as I know. I believe if you want the rub strip you have to cut out the mounting holes.

They have dimples where the holes would be, so you can cut them out or smooth them over.

Joe,
If you read the intro I state that they are intended for off road use. But you could put one on you street Lightning if you would like. I can't guarantee that a love tap will hold up. It could or could not. I don't know, never had one get hit to see how good it will hold up. But yes I could put a little more glass in it for you to help make it stronger. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks,
Brian

It come's just like the frist bumper picture. If you want the trim on you have to drill out the holes. If you want a smooth look you may need a very small amount of filler or sanding to make the marks go away so you can't see them.

I saw that you said they were intended for offroad use, but then again so are Humvees... I have absolutely no problem putting one of these on my truck, I was just wondering if you knew if they could hold up to a light hit or not.
My truck will be getting repainted soon and my front bumper is a little bent out of shape, so I will not be using it. Yours seems to be a great alternative and when the time comes I'll get a hold of you for one.

Sounds good. I think you will be very happy with one of my bumpers. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks,
Brian

I think I will add that front bumper to my winter list of "to-do's". Mine will stay smooth, no rub strip for me!

I talked to Bring not long ago. Said they are supposed to start trying to make molds for the doors soon. I know they have had the Doors to make them from sense Last July when I dropped them off.

Doors are in the works. Taking longer to make molds then I planed. As for a package deal. I could save you a few $$ if you buy all parts at once. You would save the most on shipping when buying more the one part at a time when you buy a hood.

weight saving

stock ----------------------------fiberglass
Bumper--about 55lbs-----------------7lbs.
Tailgate-- about 60lbs.---------------12lbs.
fenders-- about 20-25 a side---------5-6lbs. a side

Brian, I need a price for a 5" hood (one like Ross has that extends back to the windshield) shipped to 08004. Also a price on a glass bumper shipped to the same zip.

Can you give me the prices seperate and then if I get them at the same time?

Jamie,
The price on the hood is $380 and the bumper is $250. I think I checked before on Shipping. And it's around $125 for the hood. If you get the bumper at the same time the $125 shipping on the hood would also cover the shipping on the bumper. It's a weight thing. But if you just get the hood you would have to pay extra shiping on the bumper at a later date. Understand ??

so when will the Gen 2 parts start rolling out! lol

I'd love a quality smooth fiberglass wiper cowl, and wouldn't mind the option of fiberglass front fenders, or tailgate.

Yes I understand completely! Brian what is the turnaround time from when I order until It ships (Hood and Bumper)? Also can it ship to a residential address or does it have to be commercial?

Turn around is about 3-4 weeks. sometime a bit faster. You can have shipped to a residential, but may cost a few $$ more.

I have been trying to get some Gen 2 part in the works. Everytime I talk to a Gen 2 guy about it I never hear from them again. I need to know that guys what the parts before I start making them. Plus I need to track down parts to make molds with. I would love to have some fiberglass parts for the Gen 2 trucks.

Alot of the guys are using GTS for Gen 2 parts. They have made quite a few parts since using my truck to make the molds.

You do any carbon fiber work?

Yes, that is the only email he gets.

He doesn't have internet at his house right now (work is bad for everyone) so he has to go somewhere to get on the internet. It takes a day or two between his trips to use the internet!
