Default Gen 1 CAIs are coming back!

I have had a lot of people asking me to build them a CAI. I haven't built any since the debacle of 07 Well, I decided I would start again. I made a new prototype and I'm having it CADD digitized right now and will have it computerized mandrel bent If anyone is interested, they should be ready to ship in a few weeks.

I have procured a powder coater, so I will be able to list that as an option

I should have bare intakes ready to ship by this weekend. I don't have a lead time on the powder coater yet, but I would think they should be ready by next weekend. I will have pics when they are available.

All kits include silicon coupler with T-bolt clamps and a 9" K&N conical filter. Pricing is as follows:

Bare metal - $160
Powder caoted - $195

Prices are plus shipping. Custom color powder coating may be available. Prices may vary depending on color and price of powder.

Obviously not finished yet, but here is the first look at it. One of the main improvements is the one piece design. This removes any weld line that could not be helped with the old design. It allows the air a smoother flow through the pipe since it won't have that break in the middle to cause turbulance. One of the suggestions I had from my previous version was some way to hold the EGR coolant line that runs up to the radiator. So I addressed that here. In the second pic, you can see the clamp for it. Instead of welding the bracket to the tube, it bolts on and incorporates the clamp.

Chip that does look better with no weld joints. I don,t
have the Gen 1 no more. But if I did you would be making
me one. Its going to look sweet when you get it power coated.

What wouldn't fit? I am doing a test fit tomorrow at the track with a completely stock truck, although I built this around all of the stock parts. There shouldn't be any fitment issues.

What elbow are you talking about? The curved filler neck? Or the AN fitting for the tranny cooler?

I did build it with the overflow box in the correct position so there shouldn't be a problem there. I just removed the stock bracket and turned the reservoir sideways.

If I already have a filter and coupler is there a discount? Can you get them made in 3.5" tubing?

I would like to know this as well. It would be cool if we had the option to purchase the full kit, or just the mandrel bent hard piping.

I could probably work something out with you on just the pipe if you already have the rest.

I'm running an autozone spectre filter and i'm positive the K&N is higher flowing so i'll most likely be purchasing the full kit.

I have 5 units at the powder coater's right now. They are due back to me by the middle of next week. I will post pics when I have them available.

There are currently 3 kits still available.

Can I get one? I need it for a Gen 2 instead of a Gen 1 though. And fiberglass instead of metal. Oh, and instead of for a Gen 2, can I get one for a Falcon? But not fiberglass, definitely carbon fiber . . . I would also like a turbo attached to it as well.

The price is still the same right? I don't need it powdercoated.
